Mentoring Program

Un programme couronné de succès

The Foundation has a Mentorship Program. The members of its Board of Directors, according to their specific skills, are available to advise and guide selected fellows in their studies and in their respective careers.

Exchange of experiences

Our scholarship recipients can be mentored for the duration of the scholarship. This mentoring program consists of regular meetings between the mentor and the student. The student is then fortunate to benefit from the great experience and the network of his mentor.

Opportunities

Each year, about fifteen of our scholars are fortunate enough to be mentored by our Directors. These students benefit from their personal and professional support allowing them to excel even more. They also benefit from the precious network of our administrators, which allows some to find jobs or internships in prestigious organizations. Each year, a survey is distributed to these students to evaluate if their expectations have been met. We will strive to continue to offer these opportunities to our students!

J’adresse tous mes remerciements à la Fondation pour ce programme génial. Ma mentor est particulièrement formidable à mon égard, aussi bien sur le plan personnel que sur le plan professionnel où elle agit véritablement comme une conseillère aguerrie, toujours prête à me faire bénéficier de son impressionnant réseau! Ce programme de mentorat dépasse très largement mes attentes et représente pour moi une aide importante de la part de la Fondation. Encore un immense MERCI !

Mon mentor a été plus qu’un mentor pour moi. Il m’a non seulement fourni une « nouvelle » vision de moi-même (forces et faiblesses), mais il m’a également partagé sa vision de moi. Il a su me guider dans mes mille et une questions existentielles, comprendre ma situation et mes inquiétudes. Grâce à lui, j’ai osé sortir de ma zone de confort et j’en suis particulièrement fière aujourd’hui. Il a ainsi marqué positivement et définitivement mon parcours. Merci à la Fondation pour l’aide financière et morale. Sans vous, ces dernières années auraient été bien plus difficiles. Je n’ai pas de mots pour exprimer toute ma reconnaissance.

Je tiens à remercier la Fondation Arbour et mon mentor d’avoir été là pour moi et de d’avoir partagé vos meilleures expériences. Vos talents d’entrepreneur vous ont valu de nombreux admirateurs. When I was offered the opportunity to join the Mentorship Program of the Arbour Foundation, I was not aware of how this would benefit my studies or career. Eventually, I applied hoping to find quick answers and tips on the integration into Canadian society and starting a career in Quebec after graduation. Today, I am happy that I decided to apply to the program and I consider myself very lucky to have been accepted. I learned a lot from my mentor and I am privileged to have such a great relationship with such an inspiring human. Her advice and guidance helped me through a lot of adversity on both personal and academic levels. Her moral support and motivation gave me much needed confidence in myself, which eventually pushed me to make brave decisions and achieve new heights. My mentor was firstly a friend, with whom I could discuss academic topics, career perspectives, politics and life philosophy. I am thankful for knowing her!
