The Arbour Foundation supports
l’entrepreneuriat technologique
Our belief
The Arbour Foundation believes that Quebec’s economic growth is also linked to the development of technological entrepreneurship. In addition to its regular scholarships, the Foundation now funds university technological innovations and deep-tech start-ups (from university lab to market). As technological start-ups in Montreal represent 1% vs 10% in Boston (according to experts), the Arbour Foundation is dedicated to making a difference.

A new partnership to support entrepreneurship: V1 Studio
Determined to further its support of scientific entrepreneurship and reiterate its commitment to Quebec's economic development, the Fondation Arbour has created a new partnership with V1 Studio.
V1 Studio creates customized programs to support researchers and graduate students in the early stages of their entrepreneurial journey. We help them develop their research potential and, if they're ready, create a startup. V1 Studio offers personalized hands-on training, professional development and access to funding and research facilities.
Building on 10 years of community engagement experience in District 3 and Concordia University's reputation as a leader in experiential learning, V1 Studio was created to catalyze university research in Canada for the creation and expansion of science-based companies.

Our partnership with
the Quebec Scientific Entrepreneurship Program
scientifique
More recently, the Arbour Foundation, through a collaboration with District 3, Concordia University's incubator for emerging technologies, has strengthened its selection process by reserving its funding to entrepreneurs selected by Mitacs but who have also successfully completed the online QcSE (Quebec Scientific Entrepreneurship Program). This online program, set up and funded by the Quebec government, allows researchers to acquire business skills upstream in order to facilitate the transition from the laboratory to the marketplace and further increase their chances of creating successful technology companies.
To benefit from these programs, you must apply directly at QcSE or at Mitacs Acceleration. To find out more about our partnerships, send us an email at
