Founded in 2005 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Pierre Arbour, the Arbour Foundation was born from a conviction: talent deserves to be supported when accompanied by ambition, perseverance, and a desire to contribute to society. Since its inception, it has supported a hand-picked new generation whose ideas, research, and innovative spirit contribute to building the world of tomorrow.
Our Scholarships
Our scholarships are among the highest in the country. Additionally, the Arbour Foundation is one of the only organizations in Canada that considers applications from international students. We fund remarkable students pursuing master’s, doctoral, and MBA studies at one of our partner universities in the fields of engineering, computer science, and business administration.

Arbour Doctoral Scholarships
Through its doctoral scholarships, the Arbour Foundation invests in the ideas, discoveries, and innovations that will shape the world of tomorrow. By financially supporting some of the most promising doctoral students, it enables them to dedicate their energy to excellent research whose benefits will contribute to society as a whole. Valued at $35,000 per year, the doctoral scholarship is renewable up to twice, for a total support of up to $105,000 over three years.

Through its master’s scholarships, the Arbour Foundation supports promising students in engineering, computer science, and business administration so they can pursue their education under the best conditions and fully develop their potential. The Arbour Foundation supports MBA candidates who distinguish themselves by their ambition, potential, and desire to contribute to the economic and social development of Quebec. Valued at $23,000, the MBA scholarship provides them with the necessary support to cross a decisive stage in their professional journey.

The mission of the Arbour Foundation is to award scholarships to deserving students who need financial assistance at the master’s and doctoral levels in three fields likely to foster the country’s economic growth: engineering, computer science, and business administration.
