HISTORY AND MISSION

History and mission
of the Arbour Foundation

We support graduate students in the province of Québec with our generous scholarships in programs deemed to foster its economic growth.

Our History

In 2005, Mr. Pierre Arbour created the "Fondation Universitaire Pierre Arbour" using most of the capital accumulated during his lifetime. His objective was to offer scholarships in fields that could make a difference in the development of the province of Québec. Now, the Arbour Foundation is very proud to continue Mr. Arbour's visionary work by offering excellence scholarships to master's and doctoral students at the Bishop’s University, Concordia University, ÉTS, HEC Montréal, McGill University, Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, UQAM.

Our Mission

The Foundation’s mission is to award merit scholarships to deserving students in need of financial assistance at the master's and doctoral levels in three areas that have the potential to contribute to the country's economic growth: Engineering, Computer Science and Business Administration.
