History and mission
of the Arbour Foundation

We support graduate students in the province of Québec with our generous scholarships in programs deemed to foster its economic growth.

Our History

In 2005, Mr. Pierre Arbour created the "Fondation Universitaire Pierre Arbour" using most of the capital accumulated during his lifetime. Its objective was to offer scholarships in fields that could make a difference in the development of the province of Quebec. Now, the Arbour Foundation is very proud to continue Mr. Arbour's visionary work by offering excellence scholarships to master's and doctoral students at the University of Montreal, University of Quebec at Montreal, McGill University, Polytechnic Montreal, HEC Montreal, ETS, Concordia University and the University of Sherbrooke.ÉTS, HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal, Université Concordia, Université McGill, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke, UQAM.

Our Mission

The Foundation's mission is to award scholarships to deserving students in need of financial assistance at the master's and doctoral levels in three areas that have the potential to contribute to the country's economic growth: engineering, computer science and business administration.
