On May 30, 2024, at the InterContinental Hotel in Montreal, the Fondation Arbour and IVADO welcomed scholarship recipients and guests to their joint networking event: AI for the Planet. The guest speaker was none other than Hugo Larochelle, Associate Professor at Université de Montréal, Research Scientist at Google DeepMind, Canada-CIFAR AI Chair holder, and Principal Industry Member at Mila.Le 30 mai 2024, à l’Hôtel Intercontinental de Montréal, la Fondation Arbour et Ivado accueillaient boursier.ère.s et invité.e.s à leur événement de réseautage conjoint : IA pour la planète. Over a hundred of us enjoyed the reunion, and the topic of artificial intelligence sparked enthusiasm among everyone. As one participant put it: “I met some fascinating people there — it felt great to connect with such engaged and driven individuals!”

The event also gave entrepreneurial scholarship recipients the opportunity to present their business projects during the cocktail reception. V1 Studio and Ton Équipier were also present, ready to answer participants’ entrepreneurial questions.

Everyone exchanged ideas passionately throughout the evening, whether at the cocktail reception or around the dinner table.
