Last December 3rd, the Fondation Arbour organized an exceptional evening of innovation and networking entitled “From Lab to Market,” bringing together nearly 100 participants. They had the opportunity to discover inspiring journeys from researchers and entrepreneurs who transform science into concrete solutions for a better future, while enjoying numerous networking opportunities.

Three panelists delivered brilliant presentations that captivated the audience: Madline Sauvage, founder of SensÈn, presented her innovative G-FET-based breast cancer diagnostic tool and her efforts to make this technology accessible; Samuel Gilbert, founder of Hexpersciance, who puts his scientific expertise at the service of SMEs with innovative psychometric tools; and Félix-Antoine Lebel, CEO of SysNergie, who uses electric motorcycle racing as a laboratory to develop modular batteries for various sectors.

The event brought together a diverse community including Arbour scholarship recipients, partners, and members of the Foundation’s board of directors. Among the distinguished guests, we acknowledge the presence of Joanne Castonguay, Commissioner for Health and Wellbeing; Robert Panet-Raymond, Chair of the Autorité des marchés financiers Board; Kathy Baig, Director General of ETS; Philippe-Edwin Bélanger, Director of Graduate Studies and Student Success at INRS; Jacqueline Wallace, Director of Communications, External and International Relations at Polytechnique Montréal; Valérie Bélisle, Executive Director of the Fondation et Alumni Polytechnique Montréal; Lyne Dubois, Director of Philanthropic Development at Université Laval; Nancy Lepage, Director of Alumni Services and Philanthropy at ETS; and Josianne Lafantaisie, Philanthropic Development Advisor at the Fondation de l’INRS.

We warmly thank V1 Studio and Diana Horrque’s team, as well as the D3 hub, particularly Riley McGregor Mann and Andrea Betts, for their logistical support and warm welcome. A huge thank you also to our Arbour volunteers and scholarship recipients, Emna Ben Jelili, Catherine Boily, Floriane Miquet-Westphal, and Alexis Perreault, for their invaluable involvement, and to those who organized carpooling from Québec City and Sherbrooke, Benjamin Turgeon and Berthié Gouin-Ferland. This evening is a beautiful illustration of the strength of the Arbour community: building bridges between research, innovation and the market, and empowering its scholarship recipients to shine and shape Québec and the world of tomorrow.
